Online Admission Requirements

Loyola University New Orleans Online accepts applications throughout the year, so you can begin taking classes as soon as you are ready. We invite you to apply to any available term, but keep in mind that the earlier you apply, the better, so you can be fully processed and prepared for the term you desire to begin.

Licensure Requirements

Each student must sign a declaration stating that she/he has a current, unencumbered, unrestricted, and valid registered nurse license and there are no grounds for disciplinary proceedings. If at any point during the program a student’s RN license becomes encumbered or restricted, the student is obligated to immediately inform the director of the School of Nursing.

Online Nursing Program Requirements

Online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

If you are a Registered Nurse who possesses an ASN or nursing diploma, our RN to BSN program will prepare you to elevate your nursing career in a variety of health care organizations.

Online BLEND option (RN-to-MSN Bridge)

The BLEND option (RN-to-MSN Bridge) at Loyola University New Orleans is a two-course program designed specifically for active RNs with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees who would like to enroll in the online MSN.

Online Master of Science in Nursing Program

If you are a Registered Nurse who possesses a BSN, our online MSN program has a variety of concentration options that prepare you to excel in a variety of Nursing Leadership positions in many types of health care organizations.

Online BSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice Program

The BSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice program admits students who hold a bachelor’s degree and prepares them to become family nurse practitioners at the doctorate level.

Online MSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice Programs

The Post-master’s to Doctor of Nursing Practice program admits post-master’s students who wish to pursue their doctorate. Students choosing the nurse practitioner concentration must be active, certified nurse practitioners (Adult, Family, Gerontology, Pediatrics).
