Loyola University New Orleans offers a number of services and benefits for veterans and eligible dependents including:
- Yellow Ribbon Program
Loyola University New Orleans agrees to provide additional scholarships to eligible veterans to assist them in paying for tuition and fees at the University.
- Montgomery GI Bill
Under Chapter 30, Active Duty members enroll and pay $100 per month for 12 months; and are then entitled to receive a monthly education benefit once they have completed a minimum service obligation. Under Chapter 1606, a reservist must be actively drilling and have a 6-year obligation in the Selected Reserve to be eligible.
- Principles of Excellence
President Obama signed Executive Order 13607: Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses and Other Family Members on April 27, 2012. These principles were developed to strengthen oversight, enforcement, and accountability of education programs, and to ensure our service members, Veterans, and their families have the information they need to make informed decisions concerning their well-earned educational benefits.
