Dr. Debra Berger has practiced as a primary care NO since 2000. She is currently working toward developing a wound practice for her Loyola faculty practice. She also practices las part time, limiting her practice to physician contract law. Writing the preliminary bill for the official bill author, Dr. Berger has assisted with LA legislation to promote full scope practice for LA Nurse Practitioners. In 2013, Dr. Berger received a gubernatorial appointment to the LA Medical Disclosure Panel, where she has been reappointed in 2015 for another term and has written Louisiana informed consent legal requirements for Anesthesiology, Otolaryngology, and is currently working on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Additionally, she serves as legal editor for Esquire Books, Inc. where she has performed extensive editing for criminal law, civil procedure, property law, business, and Louisiana evidence texts.
