Prepare for Success on FNP Certification Exams
Graduates of the online MSN-FNP concentration will be eligible to apply for certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and/or the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Success on this certification is required to advance your career as a nurse practitioner.
MSN-FNP Practicum Experience
Every MSN student who finishes a degree program at Loyola University will have a required practicum experience, specifically designed to give students the ability to put ideas into action in a professional health care setting. While partnering with a distinguished health care professional as your preceptor, you will earn course credit as you practice in your desired focus area.

For current individuals holding an MSN Degree
The university is unable to grant a second MSN degree, however you are eligible to enroll in our PM-FNP Certificate track. In completion of this certificate, you must complete or transfer all the same courses as a student enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner track and will be eligible to sit for certification boards following successful completion of the certificate program of study.
