If you're looking to advance your nursing career, a degree could help unlock opportunities for you. Research indicates that a growing number of hospitals and healthcare settings want nurses with higher education.
Forty-three percent of hospitals require new hires to have a bachelor's degree or higher, while 78 percent are now showing preference to BSN graduates specially, according to a survey conducted by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.1
The same survey shows the average job rate offer at the time of graduation was 59 percent for BSN graduates, and 67 percent for MSN graduates. By comparison, only 29 percent of graduates in other fields had a job offer at the time of graduation.
The Loyola University New Orleans School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited nursing programs rooted in Jesuit values. The university’s online programs cater to RNs who want to advance their education and expand their career opportunities.
