Servant Leadership

Nursing is synonymous to service and service cannot be performed without making a caring connection with patients and co-workers. My career goals include being part of senior leadership within a large health care system, serving patients, families, employees and the community. Furthering my education to include a Masters Degree will allow me to continue my career by serving from a different perspective. I am looking forward to beginning my journey towards my goal with Loyola University.

It is necessary for me to be involved in a program that supports my priorities of faith and family. Balancing family, a full time job and school will not be easy to maintain, but having instructors that are sensitive to full schedules who truly care for the students will provide a firm foundation for success. Having access to a sensational library of references and technology support 24/7 ensures that I'll have the best resources available to me to complete assignments on my own schedule.

I appreciate Loyola's high status and multiple accolades within the ranks of college and nursing programs. Knowing that Loyola's on-line program has received recognition for faculty credentials alongside a competitive tuition rate makes earning an MSN-HCSM degree an exceptional value.

Loyola's program will help me develop into the servant leader role that is required within healthcare today. Leadership decisions need to be ethically based and ensure the best outcomes for both patients, families and employees, resulting in healthy communities. Earning my degree with Loyola will give me the confidence and skill set required for the fast-paced changes in healthcare today.
